Reports to Superintendent, Principal, and/or Supervisor of Fine & Performing Arts. In conjunction with the Director, responsibilities include support of the marching band program, including, but not limited to:

• Coordinate all planning and logistics including scheduling to prepare for camp as well as at camp (battery & front ensemble).
• Coordinate staffing and supervision of students at camp.
• Design, direct, and instruction of high school band.
• Establish performance requirements, enforce academic requirements, and verify each student's eligibility to participate in band.
• Attend all days of away camp with the band.
• Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules,and board policy.
• Coordinate with band booster club foractivities at band camp.
• Ensure that programs are cost-effective and funds are managed wisely.
• Maintain current inventory of all fixed assets within department.
• Oversee process of cleaning, repairing, and storing all percussion equipment.
• Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
• Accompany and supervise students during band camp.
• Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Other duties as assigned

• Appropriate New Jersey Certification or New Jersey Substitute Certification required
