Elementary School - School Counselor (Anticipated)

Appropriate New Jersey Certification

• Counsels and supports students with social, emotional, and educational concerns.
• Plans and delivers social-emotional learning lessons.
• Collaborates with teachers to present guidance lessons integrated with the broader educational program.
• Collaborates and coordinates programs and activities with district counseling staff.
• Is available for conferences with parents.
• Assists in improving teacher-student relationships.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by director of guidance, principal, and/or designee.
• Assists principals as the Harassment, Intimidation, and Bullying Specialist.

Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education Policy.

Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the principal or superintendent may assign or delegate.

Proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position.

Medical and dental benefits are offered with this role. Salary ranges from $67,000-$83,000.
