Visual Caption Head

In conjunction with the Marching Band Director, responsibilities include support of the marching band program, including, but not limited to:
Design, direct, and instruction of high school visual program. Provide for visual instruction for participation at extracurricular events, including football games, pep rallies, parades, and other community-based activities. Adhere to rehearsal schedule, performance schedule and protocols. Attend all performances and events. Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students. Accompany and supervise students on out-of-town trips, including bus rides to and from destinations.

Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and BOE policies. Other duties as assigned by the principal and/or superintendent.

Ability to maintain a positive work environment Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to produce high-quality music experiences Strong organization skills Passion for student-centered arts education Committed to continuous program growth and to creating meaningful performance opportunities Appropriate New Jersey Certification or New Jersey Substitute Certification required
