Position:
Building Maintenance Worker, Part-Time

Under direction of a supervisor, performs varied simple and moderately physically strenuous tasks involved in cleaning and maintaining offices, furniture, bathrooms, and building & grounds; responsible for opening and closing the building daily, including performing security and safety checks; may be required to respond to after-hours building emergencies; cleans, dusts, vacuums, sweeps, and light shoveling of walkways and outdoor areas as needed;

empties and transports bookdrop carts; assists with programming set-up and breakdown; makes minor repairs to buildings or equipment; does other related duties as required.

Hourly wage: $23.70 / per hour

Hours:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.
Alternate Saturdays: 8:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

This is a permanent, part-time, civil service, union position for twenty-eight and a half (28.5) hours per two weeks. Prorated sick, vacation, and personal leave. Additional hours may occasionally be available for special programs or maintenance needs; however, these are not guaranteed.
