Gateway is hiring a Senior Accountant to support the company’s aggressive plans for construction of Gateway’s network and customer growth over the next 12 months. The successful Senior Staff Accountant will contribute to the success of Gateway’s growth objectives in the following ways:
- Play a critical role in the month‑end close, including preparation and review of journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Support the VP/Controller, VP of FP&A, and CFO through timely financial analysis, reporting, and operational support.
- Support third parties to ensure accuracy of sales & use tax filings.
- Assist in the tracking and management of fixed assets, including coordination of construction‑in‑progress (CIP) applications to projects and supervising depreciation accuracy.
- Supervise payable process into Net Suite and resolve coding or approval issues.
- Support financial and operational reporting for management and the Board of Directors by preparing schedules, insights, and supporting documentation.
- Post and reconcile cash transactions within accounting systems to maintain accurate liquidity and cash flow reporting.
- Provide ad‑hoc analytical and operational support to meet the needs of a rapidly growing organization.
- Up to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a fast‑paced or high‑growth environment.
- Solid working understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with strong ownership of assigned tasks.
- Highly organized with demonstrated administrative efficiency and strong attention to detail.
- Willingness to take on new projects, learn, and grow in a scaling finance organization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Experience with Net Suite strongly preferred; familiarity with modern financial systems valued.
