Payroll Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a Payroll Manager to join our retail team based in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves managing payroll procedures for a large number of employees worldwide, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. You will oversee the operation of the payroll system, mentor the payroll staff, and collaborate with other departments to enhance payroll functions. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

• Manage global payroll operations for a large number of employees, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and on time.
• Supervise the operation of the UKG/Ultimate payroll system for efficient workflow.
• Mentor and supervise payroll staff to foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Address and resolve payroll issues raised by employees in a timely and accurate manner.
• Deliver payroll reports to HR, Finance, and senior management as required.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT departments to improve payroll functions and implement best practices.
• Manage the accurate reporting of payroll taxes, garnishments, benefits, and other deductions.
• Utilize accounting software systems and tools such as ADP - Financial Services, ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, and Concur to streamline payroll processes.
• Perform auditing of payroll transactions to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Handle sensitive information with discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.
• Experience with ADP Financial Services.
• Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now.
• Knowledge of Ceridian and Concur software.
• Proficiency in 401k and RRSP Administration.
• Familiarity with About Time software.
• Understanding of Accounting Functions and Auditing.
• Capable of managing Benefit Functions.
• Experience with Canadian Payroll and bi-Monthly Payroll.
• Ability to handle Domestic Payroll and Multi-State Payroll.
• Experience in processing Payroll and Bi-weekly Payroll.
• Certification as a Payroll Professional (CPP) is preferred.
