St. Louis County LibraryThe Acquisitions Department is seeking a full-time Library Associate to assist the Acquisitions & Collection Development department in ordering, tracking, purchasing, and receiving new material to maintain and enhance the collection.

HoursMonday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Researches customer purchase suggestions and submits reviews and vendor information to the Selectors to determine if materials should be added to the collection.
- Works with Library vendors to place or cancel orders, track shipments, and resolve problems with invoices.
- Resolves customer holds request issues in order to get materials to the customer quickly and accurately.
- Assists Public Service Managers and Collection Development Specialists as needed to maintain and enhance the Library collection.
- Exhibits flexibility in performing a variety of office tasks to ensure smooth flow of material into the collection.
- Minimum completion of 60 hours college

- Ability to use a pc, word processing, and e-mail
- Ability to use databases and content management software
- Ability to perform accurate data entry duties
