Sales Department Porter / Detailer
The Sales Department Porter / Detailer is responsible for maintaining the appearance and organization of new and pre-owned vehicle inventory, ensuring vehicles are clean, presentable, and ready for customer delivery. This position plays a key role in supporting the sales department and creating an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Wash, clean, and detail new and pre-owned vehicles.
- Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of showroom vehicles.
- Organize and park inventory on the dealership lot.
- Move vehicles safely throughout dealership property.
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and presentation standards.
- Assist with lot maintenance and appearance.
- Ensure vehicles have proper fuel levels and are ready for display or delivery.
- Install dealer decals, license plate frames, and other accessories as needed.
- Assist sales and management teams with vehicle transfers and special projects.
- Keep wash bays, detailing areas, and lot areas clean and organized.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Must be willing to submit to drug screening and background checks
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
