Senior Product Manager - Technical

The Payment Network Division is seeking a Senior Product Manager – Technical to join the Next Edge program. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and delivering product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for complex technology platforms and solutions. This role bridges business objectives and technical execution, working closely with engineering, architecture, operations, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient products that create value for customers and the organization.

As a Senior PMT, you are expected to perform the following general responsibilities:

  • Responsible for understanding business needs, market opportunities, and technology trends
  • Owns the vision for one or more features
  • Decomposes business requirements and customer experiences into features and functions that drive the platform/product roadmap.
  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives while remaining actively engaged throughout the end-to-end product development lifecycle.
  • Works with Technical Program Managers, Software Engineers, and internal customers to define the details behind the business requirements
  • Analyzes and interprets voice of the customer and product metrics as a feedback loop into the backlog and balances the priorities against new features
  • Recommends trade-off decisions on platform product features/depth of features/backlog items
  • Owns and manages product documentation ensuring features and associated documentation are clear and easily consumable by other engineering teams
  • Demonstrate 'Mastercard Way' cultural values every day – create value, grow together and move fast – with a relentless focus on doing the right things

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire;

Pay Ranges

O'Fallon, Missouri: $104,000 - $177,000 USD
