Job Overview
General Education focuses on K‑12 powered virtual schools offering courses in English, history, math, science, music, art, world languages, and personalized courses. The role is remote, based in Missouri, with a strong preference for Missouri residents; candidates from surrounding states may be considered.
Essential Functions- Modify and adapt the K12 curriculum to align with state content standards and the individual needs of each student.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to meet targeted student goals through individualized and small group sessions.
- Educate parents on instructional strategies.
- Ensure implementation of the RTI instructional system to increase student achievement.
- Oversee data collection, progress monitoring at every tier, and use data to help teachers plan whole and small group instruction.
- Provide guidance to teachers on identifying and grouping students who need additional help; collect and maintain all RTI data.
- Serve as a daily resource to school administrators, leadership teams, and other stakeholders regarding RTI issues.
- Collaborate with homeroom teachers, advisors, counselors, and district personnel to coordinate and track Tier 2 interventions.
- Provide ongoing training and support to school/district staff regarding RTI and data collection procedures.
- Support teachers in documenting student progress; work with the special education team to facilitate eligibility.
- Travel up to 20% of the time for face‑to‑face professional development, student testing, and/or as required by the school.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Active Missouri state teaching license (Middle School) or appropriate Elementary certification in another state with the ability to obtain Missouri licensure within 60 days.
- Background check clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers to interpret and produce numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data and use it to drive instructional decisions.
- Receptive to receiving coaching from administrators and teacher trainers.
- Ability to embrace change and adapt to ensure excellent student outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
- Rapid learner of new technologies and teaching platforms.
- Maintain teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum.
- Experience working with the proposed age group.
- Experience supporting adults and children in the use of technology.
- Experience teaching in an online (virtual) and/or brick‑and‑mortar environment.
- Experience with online learning platforms.
Exempt salary range: $48,752–$60,940. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed and may vary based on geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions.
