Job Summary
The Preschool Teacher at Simon Says Early Childhood Center is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports the developmental needs of young children. The teacher implements age‑appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth while fostering a love of learning.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood education standards
- Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
- Promote social‑emotional development through guided play, routines, and positive behavior support
- Observe and assess student development, maintaining accurate records of progress
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student growth and daily activities
- Ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of all students at all times
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Collaborate with staff and administration to support program goals and student success
- Support daily routines, including meals, rest time, and transitions
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (or working toward degree)
- Prior experience working with preschool‑aged children preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in early learning
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
- Ability to create a warm, patient, and supportive learning environment
- Passion for early childhood education and child development
- Creative, energetic, and engaging teaching style
- Ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive classroom community
