The Opportunity

UHP is seeking Graduate Assistants to support upcoming Integrative Health Coach / IHC cohorts on our Gentry, Arkansas campus.

This is a temporary, cohort-based opportunity for high-potential IHC alumni who are interested in returning to serve future students while continuing to develop as leaders, mentors, and facilitators. Graduate Assistants play an important role in supporting the student experience, assisting the IHC team during cohort execution, and helping create the transformational environment that makes UHP unique.

The IHC Graduate Assistant role is designed for alumni who demonstrate professionalism, emotional maturity, humility, strong communication, and alignment with UHP’s values. This role includes student support, cohort logistics, classroom and activity support, mentorship, and operational assistance throughout the assigned cohort.

Graduate Assistants are expected to model the UHP standard, support students with care and professionalism, and contribute to a team-first environment that helps service members and veterans grow in confidence, purpose, and readiness for their next chapter.

Key Responsibilities Course & Cohort Support
  • Support IHC Program Leadership during classroom instruction, group activities, practical exercises, and cohort events.
  • Assist with the flow and execution of daily cohort activities.
  • Help prepare learning spaces, materials, and student support areas.
  • Support student participation, engagement, and accountability throughout the cohort.
  • Help create a professional, welcoming, and transformational cohort experience.
Student Engagement & Support
  • Build positive and professional relationships with students.
  • Serve as an example of alumni growth, humility, and continued connection to UHP.
  • Support students during challenging moments while staying within the scope of the GA role.
  • Reinforce cohort expectations, professionalism, and community standards.
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries and elevate concerns to IHC Program Leadership when needed.
Program & Operational Support
  • Assist with setup, breakdown, and operational readiness for classrooms, activities, meals, events, and student movement as needed.
  • Help support lodging, arrival, departure, and daily logistics as assigned.
  • Execute administrative or coordination tasks connected to cohort delivery.
  • Maintain professionalism, punctuality, preparedness, and attention to detail throughout the cohort.
  • Support the team with flexibility as priorities shift.
Leadership & Development
  • Participate in GA meetings, team check-ins, and development conversations.
  • Seek feedback from program leadership and apply corrections quickly.
  • Demonstrate maturity, emotional awareness, communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
  • Reflect on lessons learned and areas for continued growth.
  • Contribute positively to team culture and the overall student experience.
Continuous Improvement
  • Share observations, lessons learned, and feedback with program leadership as appropriate.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the student experience and cohort execution.
  • Support a culture of humility, ownership, service, and professionalism.
  • Represent UHP and the IHC program in a way that reflects the mission and values of the organization.
Qualifications Required
  • Prior completion of UHP’s Integrative Health Coach / IHC program.
  • Strong alignment with UHP’s mission, culture, and values.
  • Interest in mentorship, coaching, facilitation, leadership development, or student support.
