Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting students' growth and well-being in a vibrant Missouri school district. As a school psychologist working on-site, you'll play a crucial part in conducting assessments, evaluations, and generating comprehensive reports with an emphasis on Child Find initiatives. You'll be placed in up to two schools between the Hazelwood or Bayless Districts (final sites to be determined), serving elementary, high school, or K-12 populations.

Expect a caseload averaging 30-40 students - intentionally maintained to ensure you can make an impact without risking burnout. District leadership is committed to providing robust support for contracted professionals, ensuring you have the resources needed to succeed.

Key

Qualifications:

  • Valid MO Department of Education School Psychologist Certification required
  • Experience in school-based psychological services preferred
  • Thorough understanding of assessments, evaluations, and special education process
  • Proficiency working with diverse student populations across K-12 or specific age groups
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing requirements (drug screen, fingerprints)
  • Flexibility to attend interviews, with Fridays generally preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in student psychological assessments and evaluations
  • Prepare clear, actionable diagnostic and eligibility reports
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support teams to foster positive outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with district/state guidelines on special education and Child Find
  • Engage with school staff and district leadership to advocate for students' needs
