Senior Accounting Associate
Location:
O’Fallon, hybrid role.
Responsible for the ongoing analysis, collection, and resolution of open premium and deductible receivable balances. Activities include early and late‑stage collection activities, cancellation processes, submission to outside collection agencies, discrepancy resolution, write‑off recommendations, escheatment processes, relationship building, and adherence to local and global policies.
Specific responsibilities could include:- Perform the collection activities for open receivables balances, including written and verbal communications with internal and external customers to resolve open balances.
- Accurate and timely analysis of open receivables balances, oversight of the discrepancy process, and resolution of complex discrepancies involving external customers.
- Assist with various collection activities, projects, and processes as assigned. Work with third‑party collections agencies, law firms, and other external customers to resolve open receivables and late‑stage balances.
- Analyze open balances and recommend write‑offs where appropriate; process write‑offs in accordance with local and global write‑off policies.
- Set the market standard of excellence in all touch points with both internal and external customers.
The Role
- 3–5 years experience in reinsurance, P&C insurance and/or asset management.
- 1–3 years experience with proven understanding of credit control practice and principles.
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Experience applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision‑making is preferred.
The annualized base pay range for this role is $57,200 – $86,476. The base pay is one component of the total compensation package, which also may include annual performance‑based cash incentive awards.
