Job OverviewThe Beneficiary Services Approver is a self-motivated, intermediate level position acting in a supervisory capacity for the Beneficiary Services team within Citi Personal Wealth Management. The Approver is responsible for case supervision, assisting with audits, investigating, and resolving escalated matters and providing on-the-spot coaching to team associates.
The Beneficiary Services team provides resolution for assigned cases within Citi Personal Wealth Management. The team provides resolution for both internal and external clients with resolution communicated via physical mail. As a member of the Beneficiary Services-Approver team, you will review multiple workflow queues for completion, review items related to Estate cases (decedent owners and their corresponding beneficiaries), and various other items.
Responsibilities- Reviewing (and possibly assigning) tickets to team members
- Reviewing completed work and closing tickets after providing supervisory approval
- Act in a supervisory capacity to review outgoing correspondence, journals, account maintenance updates, complaints, and new account approvals
- Participate as Subject Matter Expert for Estate related matters
- Prepare/assist in internal and external regulatory audits and examinations
- Prepare details of escalated matters for Solutions Manager
- Speak to internal partners and external clients when required via telephone
- Prepare weekly team meeting presentation upon request
- Prepare daily reporting stats upon request
- Assist in onboarding new hires/ordering entitlements
- Facilitate on the job training for new & current associates
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience
- Consistent top-tier performer - ability to handle and expedite multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast paced service environment
- Exceptional critical thinking / problem solving skills to immediately address escalated client issues
- Customer focused, detail-oriented individual with ability to maintain a positive attitude in high-stress and fast-paced work environment
- Strong desire to create a top-notch client experience with every client, every day
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with NetX
360 and Salesforce preferred - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Registered FINRA Series 7, 63 (or 66), 9/10 is required
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
