This is a full‑time, 40 hour per week position which includes a full range of benefits including paid time off, sick leave, 11 paid holidays, employee health, dental, life, vision, disability and MOLAGERS retirement. Hours are generally 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday‑Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives, reviews, and processes applications for site plans, zoning‑rezoning, subdivision plat, master plan, special use permit, variance.
  • Receives, reviews, and issues sign permits.
  • Reviews building permits and business licenses for zoning compliance as needed.
  • Records plans and plats.
  • Prepares Site Improvement Escrow agreements.
  • Provides both technical and procedural information in response to inquiries from developers, property owners, and the general public regarding planning and zoning related matters.
  • Acquires, creates, and maintains GIS data, provides GIS queries and data summaries.
  • Produces custom maps as requested.
  • Provides administrative support to the Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment: prepares public hearing notices for mailing and legal publication; prepares agendas and types minutes.
  • Conducts research pertaining to code and zoning inquiries as requested.
  • Coordinates and administers processes for land use compliance with related ordinances, site plans, codes, and procedures.
  • Updates the City website.
  • As necessary, performs the duties of the Permit Technician in his/her absence.
  • Performs office management functions and other related duties as assigned.
