Inpatient Pharmacy Tech

Position: Inpatient Pharmacy Tech 4
Barnes-Jewish Hospital -  - Responsibilities:
Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance;
Assists in the preparation of medication orders, including workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding;
Supports inventory activities, including inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness;
Assumes primary responsibility for advanced level tasks, functions or area of specialty, including telepharmacy, investigation programs, diversion/regulatory programs, medication history collection, and revenue cycle management; authenticates the work performed by other technicians, vaccinators, and/or lead technicians;
Become proficient in required and continuous learning for the advanced role, including the advanced use and maintenance of associated electronic/automated systems, and any necessary certifications; serves as a subject matter expert, as denoted by advanced certification recognized by Pharmacy Technician Certification Board or other required training outside of pharmacy
