St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Psychologist to join the team.

Our mission is to improve children's behavioral health and quality of life through evidence-based care. We offer three types of clinical care for children, adolescents and families. Our faculty members are also involved in research and training activities to advance the quality of child health care.

Our pediatric psychology services are directed toward promoting quality of life for children with medical conditions and their families. Assessment and intervention services are provided on an inpatient and outpatient basis. Specialty areas include hematology & oncology, solid organ transplant, cardiology, neurology, pain, sleep, gastroenterology, diabetes and endocrinology, pulmonology, gender identity, adolescent medicine, rheumatology, allergy & immunology, and critical care and surgery.

Patients are commonly referred for issues such as:

  • emotional or behavioral problems related to new or chronic illness
  • improving adherence to medical regimens
  • difficulty sleeping
  • managing pain or other physical symptoms
  • promoting family adjustment to life‑altering medical conditions
Responsibilities
  • Acts as a resource and liaison to hospital staff and outside community.
  • Maintains designated targets for chart compliance and report turnaround times.
  • Conducts and disseminates research in field of expertise.
  • Performs psychological evaluations, assessments, psychotherapy and consultation during the course of treatment for patients and their families.
Qualifications
  • Must be a Certified Child Psychologist.
  • Must have a Child Psychology Fellowship.
  • Must have completed a Child Psychology Internship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate in Psychology.
Minimum Requirements
  • Education:

    Doctorate in Psychology.
  • Experience:

    less than 2 years.
  • Supervisor

    Experience:

    No experience.
  • Licenses &

    Certifications:

    Psychologist.
