JOB POSITION Help Desk and Desktop Support Technician OVERVIEWPrologue Technology is seeking a smart and enthusiastic Help Desk and Desktop Support technician to join our growing team. At Prologue Technology we create the technology that powers our sister divisions at Flat World Global Solutions.
Responsibilities- Provide technical and application support to our associates who in turn support our customers.
- Provide technical and application support to our customers when things get more technical.
- Identify those tickets you can resolve yourself and those that will need to be resolved by other more senior members of the team.
- Help support our Active directory by creating new users, removing departing users, and maintaining users and share permissions.
- 1-2 years of prior IT related experience is preferred.
- Ability to communicate technical things to non-technical individuals.
- Ability to communicate with technical individuals within the development and support team.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to carry a small printer, a pc, or a monitor for short distances.
- Willingness to learn our systems and processes.
- Knowledge of supporting and maintaining MS Office and MS Office 365 applications.
- Knowledge of setting up and maintaining Windows 11 computers.
- Knowledge of setting up and maintaining Mac OS.
- Familiarity with the Linux OS.
- Knowledge of using and maintaining Active Directory systems.
- Knowledge of setting up and maintaining barcode scanners.
- Knowledge of basic system security procedures and administration.
- Knowledge of setting up and maintaining virtual computers and servers.
- Knowledge of MS Exchange.
- Certifications in the field of computer and application support.
