Overview

The Product Manager within Mastercard's Switching Solutions team is responsible for defining and delivering solutions that support Mastercard's core transaction processing systems. This role partners closely with customers, stakeholders, engineering, and architecture teams to understand needs, identify opportunities, and drive product outcomes that balance customer value, business objectives, and technical considerations.

Working at the intersection of business and technology, the Product Manager supports the product lifecycle from discovery and requirements through delivery and ongoing optimization. Success in this role requires strong product thinking, business acumen, stakeholder management, and the ability to influence decisions, navigate complexity, and drive alignment across a highly matrixed organization.

Role

* Partner with customers, product teams, and stakeholders to understand business needs, identify opportunities, and translate them into clear business, functional, and technical requirements

* Act as the voice of the customer throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring solutions align with user needs, business objectives, and operational goals

* Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to define scalable technical solutions and ensure alignment between business requirements and technical capabilities

* Support the end-to-end product delivery lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, Agile delivery, testing, implementation, and post-production monitoring

* Manage and refine product requirements, user stories, and priorities to support delivery goals and business outcomes

* Facilitate cross-functional discussions, working sessions, and stakeholder alignment across multiple teams

* Create and maintain high-quality product, technical, and process documentation

* Apply analytical thinking and sound judgment to evaluate trade-offs, solve complex problems, and recommend effective solutions

* Monitor product performance and delivery outcomes, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and enhanced customer experiences

* Drive progress across multiple initiatives, proactively identifying risks, removing blockers, and ensuring successful execution

* Contribute innovative ideas and process improvements that enhance product delivery and strengthen Mastercard's core transaction capabilities

All About You

* Experience in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related discipline

* Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business, functional, and technical requirements

* Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and working closely with engineering teams

* Ability to translate customer needs and business objectives into actionable product requirements and technical solutions
