Payment Tester
We are seeking a skilled Payment Tester with hands-on experience in payment systems, specifically in Authorization, Clearing processes, and ISO message formats. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in validating payment flows, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting end-to-end testing of payment transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional and integration testing of payment systems with a focus on transaction flows.
- Validate Authorization and Clearing processes across various payment scenarios.
- Analyze and test ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 message formats for accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with development and business teams to understand requirements and create detailed test cases.
- Execute test plans, log defects, and ensure timely resolution.
- Work closely with Client teams to align testing with network specifications and updates.
- Support regression testing and automation initiatives where applicable.
Required Skills
Experience:
- Exposure to agile and waterfall testing methodologies and tools such as RALLY and ALM.
- Knowledge in Java/C/C++ development in Test automation
- Experience of working with other developers to ensure that systems are designed for reliability, performance and testability
- Experience testing across a variety of platforms: web and mobile user interface, APIs (REST and SOAP), and Mainframe and UNIX
- Exposure in building and using automation frameworks using technologies:
Java, JUnit, Selenium, JBehave, Soap UI/Pro, REST, JSON and XML. - Expert knowledge of Payments Products (Credit/Pre-paid/Debit)
- Knowledge of payment simulation tools (Paragon, Fin Sim, T3 or similar)
- Knowledge of ISO payment protocols (8583) desirable.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other payment networks (e.g., Visa, Client) is a plus.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting languages.
- ISTQB or equivalent testing certification
