- Hands on experience in developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
- Moderate to extensive hands-on administrative experience with Linux systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Linux or Debian and/or their derivatives.
- Advanced configuration management framework experience using Chef.
- Practical use of distributed version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with remote command execution technologies such as Salt.
- Experiencing in configuring middleware and RDBMS software including JBoss, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, Web Sphere MQ, Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
Overview:
The ITSM Service Transition team envisions a Client where a community of passionate Biz Ops enablers use configuration management and Dev Ops methodologies to automate safely, deliver quickly, and consistently push our capabilities forward. We provide consulting and guidance to the Biz Ops and development teams to speed their adoption of automation and Dev Ops practices. We are subject matter experts who collaborate on selection, governance, and implementation of Dev Ops toolsets.
Role:
Engage with teams to identify and reduce waste in the release value stream and to accelerate automation adoption. Drive efforts to enable new automation capabilities such as data center fail-overs and full stack configuration management. Develop reusable CI/CD pipeline templates, libraries and other components incorporating common patterns across Client. Evangelize Dev Ops best practices by contributing to documentation, developing screen casts and actively participating in discussions on supported communication channels.
Curate Dev Ops training opportunities across teams.

About You:
Hands on experience in developing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins. Moderate to extensive hands-on administrative experience with Linux systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Oracle Linux or Debian and/or their derivatives. Advanced configuration management framework experience using Chef. Practical use of distributed version control systems such as Git. Experience with remote command execution technologies such as Salt. Experiencing in configuring middleware and RDBMS software including JBoss, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, Web Sphere MQ, Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
Applied experience with web-based deployments including TLS and certificates, load balancing and horizontal scaling. Self-starter who works with little direction, constantly seeks and advances new ways of doing things, keeps abreast of relevant technologies and trends, maintains positive attitude and perseveres through difficult situations. Must have an automation mindset:
Appreciates the value of automation versus repeated, manual activities Appreciates the value of applying collaborative software development best practices and tools to the automation of infrastructure deployment and management processes. Experience as a mentor in software engineering. Strong communication skills both verbal and written with strong relationship building, collaborative skills and organizational skills.
