Private Client Account Manager Mach Private Risk Management|St. Louis, MO (In-Office)

Compensation: $75,000 to $100,000 (depending on experience)

About Us

Mach Private Risk Management is a growing independent insurance agency specializing in high-net-worth personal insurance. We work with successful individuals and families whose insurance needs often include multiple homes, automobiles, valuables, umbrella liability, watercraft, and other complex personal exposures. We pride ourselves on delivering thoughtful, concierge-level service and long-term risk management advice, and our team is collaborative, entrepreneurial, and genuinely passionate about protecting what matters most to our clients.

The Role

We are looking for an exceptionally organized, responsive, and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our team and support a growing book of sophisticated personal-lines clients.

This is not primarily a sales position. We are looking for someone who takes pride in getting things done, communicates professionally, follows through without being chased, and enjoys being the person who keeps clients and the rest of the team moving forward.

We are looking for someone who can become an indispensable part of the operation by taking ownership of the large volume of important day-to-day work that keeps a high-performing insurance agency running smoothly.

What You'll Do

You will support our client-service, underwriting, and production teams by taking ownership of the day-to-day work required to service a growing book of high-net-worth personal-lines accounts, including:

  • Processing policy changes, endorsements, and routine client requests
  • Preparing evidence of insurance and other policy documentation
  • Gathering, organizing, and uploading client documents — from policy dec pages to appraisals and inspection reports
  • Following up with clients, carriers, mortgage companies/lienholders, and other third parties
  • Assisting with renewal preparation, including remarkets — gathering quotes, running comparisons, and helping advisors make informed recommendations
  • Reviewing policies and account information for completeness and accuracy
  • Preparing applications and supporting documentation; assisting with new-business submissions
  • Entering and maintaining accurate information in EZLynx and carrier systems
  • Handling routine billing and policy questions
  • Obtaining loss runs, dec pages, prior insurance information, and other underwriting documents
  • Monitoring outstanding items and proactively following through until they are complete
  • Supporting producers and senior team members with quoting and binding workflows
  • Helping ensure clients receive prompt, polished, professional service

The most important part of the role is simple: when something is assigned to you, it gets done accurately, promptly, and without repeated follow-up.

Who We're Looking For

Strongly Preferred: Approximately 2–5 years of personal-lines insurance experience, ideally with an independent insurance agency.

Bonus Points For: Experience serving high-net-worth or private-client accounts. Candidates with this background will be prioritized — we can teach the specific complexity of our client base to someone who already has solid insurance fundamentals and the right work ethic.

Beyond experience, you should be someone who:

  • Is exceptionally organized
  • Has strong attention to detail
  • Communicates clearly and professionally
  • Responds quickly and follows through
  • Can manage a busy inbox and multiple competing priorities
  • Is comfortable working independently
  • Notices unfinished work without needing to be reminded
  • Is comfortable with technology, carrier portals, and agency-management systems (EZLynx experience a plus)
  • Enjoys supporting a team and making other people more effective
  • Has a low-ego, team-first attitude
  • Takes genuine satisfaction in completing work and solving problems

We value reliability, judgment, speed, accuracy, and attitude more than an impressive title. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
