- General machining of routine castings and building of small fixtures for use in the finishing department.
- Setup drill press, milling machines, and/or lathe to machine castings and build fixtures as required.
- Work from casting blueprints to machine castings and verify accuracy of work to customer specifications through the use of various measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
- Maintain all labor vouchers, records, and files in addition to a variety of logs where accuracy is paramount, and enter all required information into the Company software in a timely manner.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Shall attend and successfully complete hazardous material / waste handling classes, proper lifting techniques, lock out / tag out training, and any other duties as assigned.
- Technical school diploma in precision machining technology or one year of machining experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting casting blueprints.
- Good working knowledge of personal computers and related software.
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the job.
Shall work in an area where airborne grinding dust is present.
