Job Summary:

This internship is designed for students who want real B2B marketing experience—not busywork—including content creation, campaign execution, analytics, and exposure to a legacy industrial brand.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team in the marketing department as our marketing assistant. Merit Brass has been a part of the Pipe, Valve, and Fittings (PVF) industry for over 85 years.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in editing marketing materials, such as brochures, product datasheets, flyers tailored to PVF industry clients
Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and target markets to support marketing strategies
Help curate and update website content based on SEO & Website best practices
Compile basic data from marketing campaigns (e.g., email open rates, website traffic) to assist in performance reporting
Perform marketing administrative tasks such as maintaining contact lists, scheduling posts, and organizing digital & promotional assets, catalog creation, generate our internal newsletter
Assist in creating and executing social media and email marketing campaigns
Assist with video shoots and help manage our video platforms
Support trade show planning, logistics, and event preparation
Research & procure promotional goods & office supplies
Attend career fairs on college campuses with the Marketing Director to speak about our internship program

Qualifications:

Current college student with an interest in marketing, business, or communications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional setting
Curiosity about B2B industries (no prior PVF experience required—willingness to learn is key)
Reliable, organized, and eager to take on new challenges
