Job Summary:Our recovery programs at the Christian Life Center and New Life Center exist to lead men, women, and families from crisis to Christ-centered healing through structured accountability, spiritual formation, life-skill development, and measurable progression toward independent, stable living and meaningful integration into the community.
The Peer Support Specialist ensures dignified care and support for all clients. This role is a mentor in recovery that uses lived experience to guide, support and encourage individuals to set personal goals, navigate the internal center community and build resilience plus self sufficiency.
Duties/Responsibilities:- Intentionally and strategically seek to exemplify Jesus Christ, be prepared to share the Gospel and provide spiritual support at each point of care; showing the love of Christ and hospitality through each interaction.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and shepherding to clients during assigned shifts; reinforce structure, dignity, and clear expectations
- Spend intentional time relationally engaged with clients; prioritize presence while maintaining accountability and structure
- Participate in and coordinate mealtime and fellowship environments; model healthy interaction, reinforce community expectations, and demonstrate servant leadership
- Welcome, orient, and support volunteers and interns; integrate them into the center and spiritual events, meals, and daily routines with clarity and oversight
- Maintain a safe, calm, and structured environment for clients, visitors, and volunteers with a focus on engagement, overseeing safety and dignity, and upholding clear expectations

* Shifts include evenings and weekends.
* There is a $2/hour shift differential for hours worked between 3-11pm. There is a $3/hour shift differential for hours worked between 11pm-7am.
