Description:
This position involves working primarily in the lab and injection area.
The nurse will be drawing from ports and CVCs.Good assessment skills are required for the role.
The nurse will be expected to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values.
Familiarity with accessing ports and managing central lines is essential.
The position may require floating to other locations as necessary.
The nurse will provide care adhering to isolation and neutropenic precautions.
IM injections will be part of the responsibilities.
Prior experience in an infusion center is preferred.
The facility is a short-term acute care setting with a focus on oncology care.
Magnet and teaching hospital standards are upheld.
Daily responsibilities will include patient assessment and delivery of infusion therapies.
Effective communication and teamwork with interdisciplinary support teams are crucial.
The role includes managing patient care in a fast-paced environment.
