Assistant Nurse Manager – Emergency Room

Role Overview:

This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining equipment, and overseeing statistical data within an emergency department setting.

• Manage staff including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and conducting professional development.
• Participate in staffing, budget development, and ensure departmental operational goals are met.
• Oversee patient care, ensuring interventions are tailored to age and developmental needs, and document accordingly.
• Develop and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatment.
• Monitor staff productivity, approve payroll, handle staff communications, and manage staffing needs including overtime and performance reviews.

• RN license with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree;
  Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of nursing experience; 5-10 years preferred for advanced roles.
• Supervisory experience is preferred; no experience required for entry-level.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
