Job Description

We are searching for talent for an Account Executive, Advanced Surgical Instruments (ASI) to be based in Springfield, MO territory.

Position Overview

The Account Executive – ASI will own the full range of Ethicon offerings, focusing on energy and endomechanical platforms. Responsibilities include selling surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers primarily in the operating room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the full spectrum of Ethicon comprehensive surgical devices and solutions, including hemostasis, energy sealing and dissection, surgical stapling, and wound closure platforms.
  • Sell surgical solutions to surgeons and hospital decision makers, primarily in an operating room setting.
  • Be assigned a sales territory focusing on physicians and hospital institutions.
  • Accountable to attain forecast in assigned accounts/territory.
  • Set priorities and make sound business decisions based on an understanding of sales opportunities within accounts.
  • Demonstrate proper use of products to clinicians in the operating room environment.
  • Manage customer questions and objections consistently with product indications and sales training methodology.
  • Execute the selling cycle to drive results within compliance guidelines, leading the customer to action.
  • Conduct sales presentations using current selling methods learned in training courses.
  • Analyze data, stay updated on market information, and plan business accordingly.
  • Build excellent customer relations with key physicians, hospital personnel, and authorized distributors, and conduct customer education seminars as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant business experience in medical device sales or B2B sales, with exceptional achievement of sales objectives.
  • A valid driver’s license issued in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong sales performance with high growth, results versus plan, and the ability to target accounts and achieve results through a daily action plan.
  • Strong time management and planning skills.
  • Hospital-based pharmaceutical or medical device experience (operating room sales) and experience selling to highly educated/high‑profile customers.
  • Experience developing new, innovative markets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Team‑oriented mindset.

Note on Compensation

Grade/Salary will shift depending upon commiserate experience.
