Regional Sales Manager (West Region) – Power One Cooling Solutions

Drive the growth of Airsys’
Power One product portfolio—including liquid rack cooling, air cooling, fan walls, integrated cooling solutions, and supporting thermal management systems—by managing and developing our independent sales representative (rep) network across the western United States. This role focuses on channel management and sales enablement, ensuring rep firms are trained, supported, and equipped to represent the full Power One lineup. Unlike a Key Account Manager, this position is rep‑network‑centric
, driving coverage, pipeline development, and regional sales execution through channel partners.
- Manage, develop, and support rep partners across the Western U.S. for all Power One solutions.
- Recruit and onboard new rep firms where territory gaps exist.
- Train rep partners on Power One’s product families, applications, technical differentiators, and competitive positioning.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide pipeline accountability.
- Ensure consistent messaging, pricing alignment, and compliance with Airsys sales processes.
- Build and execute a regional sales plan supporting all Power One product categories.
- Identify growth markets within hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, semiconductor, telco, and mission‑critical verticals.
- Drive rep‑led demand generation activities: lunch‑and‑learns, customer presentations, trade show participation, and lead follow‑up.
- Maintain accurate CRM forecasting (Salesforce) and ensure clean pipeline visibility.
- Support reps in customer‑facing discussions with data center operators, consulting engineers, contractors, integrators, and OEMs.
- Provide technical and commercial positioning across Power One’s air, liquid, and integrated cooling solutions.
- Partner with Applications Engineering to assist with system‑level designs and proposals.
- Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering to relay market feedback and influence roadmap decisions.
- Work with Marketing on regional campaigns, trade shows, and rep‑facing collateral.
- Align with leadership (VP of Power One division) on quarterly regional strategy and performance.
- 5+ years in HVAC, data center cooling, thermal systems, or engineered mechanical solutions.
- Experience managing independent sales rep networks (required).
- Demonstrated success selling technical or engineered products through channel partners.
- Strong technical aptitude in cooling or mechanical systems (liquid cooling experience is a plus).
- Ability to travel throughout the region (up to ~50%).
- Strong presentation, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
- Background supporting or selling multiple cooling products (e.g., fan walls, CRAC/CRAH, chillers, heat exchangers, liquid cooling systems).
- Experience with data center, semiconductor, or mission‑critical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with mechanical consulting firms and design‑build contractors.
