Position: 2nd Shift - Unarmed Security Officer

Pay: Security Officer $18.50 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday and Wednesday 5:00am - 1:00pm;
Thursday through Saturday 1:00pm - 9:00pm. 40 hour week;
Sundays and Mondays off.

Looking for passionate, skilled professionals to join our team. Must be reasonably physically fit and able to stand and walk for periods of time.

What You’ll Do
  • Rover — Vehicle/foot patrols; deter theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity
  • Gatehouse — Access control; greet and /guests, log vehicles, announce visitors
  • Front Desk — Customer service, access control, CCTV monitoring, package distribution, visitor announcements

Responsibilities
  • Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests promptly and courteously
  • Manage all guest/visitor access; eject trespassers or violators when necessary
  • Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles
  • Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of arrival
  • Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures
  • Monitor and detect suspicious behavior to help prevent vandalism, theft and other criminal activity
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms
  • Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks
  • Warn violators of infractions (e.g., loitering, smoking, prohibited items)
  • Respond to calls of distress, alarms and emergencies by contacting local responders
  • Identify and report safety or security concerns in a timely manner
  • Ensure accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents)
  • Enforce and follow all rules/regulations
  • Other duties as directed by management
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Valid state licensing
  • Professional demeanor and appearance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience
  • Minimum of one year of security experience
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
  • Occasional crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods
