2nd Shift – Unarmed Security Officer
Security Officer – $18.50 per hour (12‑month contract).
Schedule:
Tuesdays and Wednesdays 5:00 am – 1:00 pm;
Thursdays–Saturday 1:00 pm – 9:00 pm;
Sundays & Mondays off. 40‑hour week, both 1st & 2nd shift.
Security officers deter criminal activity, protect property, enforce rules and provide a safe environment. Duties include monitoring surveillance, patrolling, checking credentials, and responding to incidents. This is a professional, high‑accountability environment where performance is visible and there is a clear path to advancement.
What You’ll Do- Vehicle and foot patrols (Rover); deter theft, vandalism, and suspicious activity.
- Gatehouse access control: greet, /guests, log vehicles, announce visitors.
- Front‑desk customer service: access control, CCTV monitoring, package distribution, visitor announcements.
- Acknowledge and greet all residents and guests in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Manage all guest/visitor access as needed and eject trespasser or violators from the premises when deemed necessary.
- Verify credentials of incoming and outgoing individuals/vehicles.
- Document and maintain a log of visitors and notify residents of visitor’s arrival.
- Assist in protecting others and equipment while enforcing policies and procedures.
- Monitor and or detect any suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft and or other criminal behavior.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms.
- Patrol the perimeter (interior/exterior) to identify potential safety and security risks.
- Warn violators of infractions e.g., loitering, smoking and or in possession of prohibited items.
- Respond to calls of distress, alarms and or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized individuals by contacting local first responders.
- Identify and report any and all concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner.
- Ensures accuracy and timely submission of required documentation (reports/documents).
- Ensure all rules/regulations are being enforced and followed.

- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Professional demeanor and appearance.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
- Minimum of one year of security experience.
- Must be able to pass pre‑employment screening (background and drug).
- This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time.
