SummaryThe Public Safety Officer will maintain high visibility patrols of University buildings, facilities and grounds. Enforce local, state, federal laws, University policies and parking regulations. Responds to all emergencies and calls for service. Provide outstanding customer service to students, faculty, staff and visitors on campus. Prepare written and computerized reports with specific, accurate, and comprehensive information. Conduct daily security and safety assessments of the campus that would create a potential risk to the campus community.
Work various shifts, weekends, holidays and subject to emergency calls and overtime.
Responds and investigates calls for service, writing reports when necessary
Conduct self-initiated patrols in the community
Enforce University policies and procedures
Provide security and safety at Missouri Baptist University events
Assist local law enforcement when needed
Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED required with minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in law enforcement, security and/or military.
Preferred Education/ExperienceAssociate’s degree preferred, with at least 3-5 years experience working in law enforcement, security and/or military.
RequiredLicensure/Certification /Registration
St Louis County Armed Security License and Adult CPR with First Aid and Automatic External Defibrillation (AED) certification required within 30 days of hire if not already held
