Responsibilities- Operate a two‑way radio to communicate with field personnel, dispatch officers, and connect multiple agencies during emergencies.
- Assess situations, prioritize needs, and coordinate appropriate responders for 911 calls.
- Provide vital information to field officers, manage non‑emergency calls, and maintain essential data such as warrants.
- Monitor surveillance cameras, weather emergencies, and inmate arrest statuses while ensuring communication systems are restored after outages.
- Deliver credible testimony in court and support law enforcement procedures, city geography, and emergency response protocols.
- Proficiency in operating two‑way radios and computerized databases; familiarity with enhanced 911 systems, emergency communication protocols, and CAD systems.
- Strong analytical skills to assess situations quickly and implement appropriate solutions.
- Ability to prepare clear, precise administrative reports and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Solid understanding of law enforcement terminology, city geography, and ability to respond calmly in high‑pressure situations.
