Position: TRUCK SERVICE TECHNICIAN INTERNSHIP

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated Truck Service Technician Intern to join our team in Kansas City, MO. As a Truck Service Technician Intern, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, working alongside a team of skilled professionals.

Your primary goal will be to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service and satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Enrollment in a technical school or equivalent program
  • Basic knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty truck systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • ASE certification or equivalent
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Responsibilities:
  • Assist experienced technicians in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
  • Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines
Skills:

As a Truck Service Technician Intern, you will utilize your technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will also communicate effectively with customers and team members, ensuring that all repairs and services are performed to the highest standards. In addition, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques from experienced technicians, and to work independently and as part of a team to achieve our goals.
