Primary Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, aerifiers, sprayers, and other golf course equipment
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
- Lubricate, service, and inspect equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Maintain precise cutting adjustments and help ensure exceptional turf quality
- Grind and maintain reel and rotary mower blades
- Keep detailed maintenance and repair records
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe equipment shop
- Monitor parts inventory and communicate repair needs
- Perform welding, fabrication, body work, and general equipment overhauls when needed
- Establish and follow safe operating procedures for all maintenance equipment
In addition, you'll assist the Golf Course Maintenance team by:
- Operating mowers and specialty equipment
- Assisting with course setup, cup changes, tee marker placement, and daily preparations
- Supporting aerification, verticutting, turf maintenance, and seasonal projects
- Maintaining equipment fluid levels and completing daily inspections
- Working collaboratively to provide outstanding course conditions for our members and guests
- High School Diploma or equivalent and mechanical training a plus
- Mechanical experience with small engines, diesel equipment, hydraulic systems, or commercial equipment maintenance
- Golf course equipment experience is preferred but not required
- Vocational or technical training in mechanics or small engine repair is a plus
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with the maintenance team
- Pride in craftsmanship, organization, and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license
- An interest in golf or golf course maintenance is a plus
