Job SummaryThe Maintenance Worker performs a variety of skilled maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of facilities. This role involves completing work orders, maintaining tools and equipment, and supporting other maintenance staff.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance Services: Perform skilled maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work.
- Installation & Repairs: Install and repair materials and systems such as carpet, tile, roofing, cabinetry, drywall, and electrical systems.
- Tool & Equipment Management: Maintain and manage tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure their availability and safe operation.
- Project Oversight: Oversee outside contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and according to specifications.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain written materials such as repair status reports and activity logs.
- Routine Maintenance: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance to ensure facilities remain operational.
- Problem Solving: Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings, estimate labor and materials, and fabricate parts as needed.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; specialized training in maintenance trades preferred.
- Experience: Relevant job experience in a specialized maintenance field is required.
- Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical trades.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools, operating various equipment, and driving motor vehicles.
- Methods, practices, and tools used in various trades.
- Health and safety regulations, and maintenance requirements for facilities.
- Ability to follow directions, work independently, and solve problems.
- Capability to work with diverse individuals and maintain effective working relationships.
