The Restoration Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in O'Fallon, MO. This position is responsible for performing hands-on environmental remediation and restoration work, including asbestos and lead abatement, mold remediation, and fire and water damage restoration under the guidance of project supervisors. Daily tasks include setting up containment areas, operating restoration and remediation equipment, removing damaged materials, cleaning and sanitizing affected spaces, and following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
The specialist will document work performed, assist with site inspections, and communicate professionally with team members, clients, and contractors. The role requires working in varying conditions, lifting and moving materials, and maintaining a clean, organized work environment while adhering to company standards.
- Experience or training in environmental remediation, including asbestos/lead abatement, mold remediation, or fire and water restoration.
- Knowledge of safety practices and regulatory compliance, such as OSHA guidelines, PPE use, and proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, bending, and working in confined or elevated spaces, often in varying environmental conditions.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standardized procedures.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a professional, customer-focused attitude on job sites.
- Reliable transportation to Troy, MO job sites and flexibility to work occasional extended hours or weekends as project needs require.
- High school diploma or equivalent; industry certifications (e.g., asbestos, lead, mold, or IICRC) are preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in construction, restoration, or a related trade is beneficial; willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training is essential.
- Driver's License and reliable transportation.
