Position: Forensic Case Monitor (DBH0000506-071026)

Responsibilities

The Division of Behavioral Health is seeking a Forensic Case Monitor to be domiciled in the Central Region. This candidate will be primarily responsible for covering counties as north as Howard County, as east as Gasconade County, as west as Cooper and Morgan counties, and as south as Miller and Maries counties.

The base salary offered for this position is up to $61,056.00 annually, commensurate with education and experience. If the selected candidate is eligible for a pay differential, such as retention pay, the total salary may exceed what is listed in this posting.

This position meets with clients at least monthly to ensure the client is compliant with Court ordered conditions of release. The Forensic Case Monitor will communicate with the Forensic Review Committee to determine release plans, correspond with their supervisor (Forensic Case Monitor –
2) and the Director of Forensic Services regarding their clients. Daily tasks include but are not limited to: consulting with community caretakers and DMH staff regarding treatment plans and community functioning; completing monthly progress notes; compiling and completing documentation for Conditional Release extensions and amendments; and testifying in court and/or revocation hearings as needed.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate must have knowledge of behavioral health conditions and developmental disabilities, be very responsible with excellent communication and documentation skills, and the ability to display a high level of independent judgement.

Eligibility

A Master’s degree with emphasis in Social Work (MSW) and one year of post-master’s degree professional casework experience in clinical social work.

OR

A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 24 earned credit hours in Social work, Sociology, Psychology or closely related field and four years of clinical casework experience under a Master’s level Social Worker (MSW).

Lack of post‑secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
