Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer

• Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.

• Proven ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams of business analysts, other developers, quality assurance analysts, system engineers, data scientists, and subject matter experts.

Basic programming skills:

• Must have knowledge of software programming algorithms and effectively apply them in his or her daily job activities.
• Must have a good understanding of the most common design patterns and software architecture.
• Must be able to code using object-oriented design, including inheritance and traits.
• Must understand basic computer and networking concepts to troubleshoot issues with the systems.
• Will apply basic and advanced problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues presented.

PHP & other more advanced programming skills:

• 1+ years of experience building web applications with PHP.
• 1+ years of experience working with a single page application.
• 1+ years of experience working with C# is desirable.
• 1+ years of experience building and working with RESTful and SOAP web services.
• 1+ years of experience working with using HTML

• Experience working with CSS.
• Experience working with MVC PHP frameworks such as Yii or Zend.
• Experience working with an advanced IDE such as PHP Storm, Intellij,
• Experience working with Visual Studio is desirable.
• Experience working with and creating CRUD interfaces.
• Experience creating encapsulated PHP functions.
• 1+ years of experience working with MySQL databases or other well known database system.
• Will apply knowledge of database design, writing queries using JOINs, troubleshooting, and optimizing queries.

Quality assurance:

• Experience performing unit and regression testing.
• Experience performing debugging and tracing application defects.
• Experience performing code reviews.

Source control and workflow:

• Experience using GIT is required.
• Experience using Jira is desirable.
• Experience using Bitbucket is desirable.
• Experience working with Composer is desirable.
• 1+ years of experience participating in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• 1+ years of experience with production deployments is required

Operating systems & other utilities:

• Experience using MS Windows version 10 or 11 is desirable.
• Experience using Linux with the command line is desirable.
• Experience using a virtual computer environment is desirable. It could be VMware, Parallels, Virtual Box or other.
• Experience using MacOS is desirable.
• Docker experience is desirable.
• Experience using SSH is desirable.

Design and Architecture:

• 1+ years of application analysis, design development and testing.
• AWS experience is desirable.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science is required.
