Data Engineer, Software Engineer
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF) for S/4
HANA, leveraging the capabilities of the HANA database. - Utilize Core Data Services (CDS) Views for data modeling and consumption; implement ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP) for performance‑critical logic; develop OData services for integrations.
- Develop and maintain interfaces with other SAP and non‑SAP systems, utilizing various integration technologies.
- Analyze and optimize ABAP code for performance, ensuring efficient execution on the HANA database.
- Create detailed technical specifications, designs, and documentation for developed solutions.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and perform debugging for S/4
HANA applications. - Work closely with functional consultants, business users, and other technical teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure development adheres to SAP best practices, coding standards, and project methodologies (e.g., Agile, Dev Ops).
- Strong proficiency in ABAP programming, including object‑oriented ABAP.
- Deep understanding of S/4
HANA architecture, data model, and key functionalities. - Experience with RESTful principles to build services for easy communication and data exchange between web applications.
- Experience with CDS Views, AMDP, and OData services.
- Proven experience in SAP ABAP development with a focus on S/4
HANA implementations. - Adobe skillset for form development.
- Experience with integration methods (e.g., OData(REST), RFC, IDoc).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong skills in debugging and optimizing ABAP code for performance.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
