About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Dialysis is responsible for delivering patient care primarily to a geriatric population through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is ideal for individuals who are skilled in nursing processes and patient education.

• Deliver patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
• Provide written assessments of patients on admission and document nursing interventions.
• Summarize assessment data and create nursing care plans.
• Implement clinical and technical aspects of care according to established policies.
• Assess, plan, and implement instruction for patients and families regarding dialysis treatment.
• Report patient care or management problems to the Clinic Manager and/or Supervisor.
• Perform on-site specific lab testing while maintaining appropriate records.
• Demonstrate understanding of dietary and medication management for ESRD patients.
• Complete annual nursing competencies and seek opportunities for self-growth.

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required;
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience: 2-3 years of Hemodialysis experience required.

Licenses &

Certifications:

Current Registered Nurse License in Massachusetts; BLS certification required.
