Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

About This Role

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery at Mass General Brigham provides nursing services in accordance with applicable standards and established policies. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about maternal and newborn care.

• Location: Oak Bluffs, MA
• Facility: Martha's Vineyard Hospital, Inc.
• Schedule: Full-Time, Rotating shifts
• Pay: $39.18 - $94.48/Hourly

• Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients.
• Provide written assessments of patients upon admission.
• Document nursing interventions, patient responses, and complications.
• Summarise assessment data and create nursing care plans.
• Implement clinical and technical aspects of care according to policies.
• Educate patients and families on care plans and medication.
• Report patient care issues to Clinical Coordinator or supervisor.
• Coordinate unit routines and orient new staff.
• Demonstrate ability to care for patients across various age groups.
• Identify personal learning needs and seek opportunities for growth.

Education:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree preferred

Experience:

• 1 year of prior related medical/surgical experience preferred
• 2 years of prior labor and delivery experience preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current RN License in Massachusetts required
• BLS certification required within one week of hire
• ACLS and PALS certification required within 6 months of hire
• NRP certification required upon hire
