About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg at Mass General Brigham provides quality nursing care based on assessed patient needs, collaborating with medical staff to ensure effective treatment. This part-time position is ideal for nurses who are flexible and can work various shifts, including weekends and emergencies.

• Location: Oak Bluffs, MA
• Facility: Martha's Vineyard Hospital, Inc.
• Schedule: Part-Time, Rotating
• Pay: $39.18 - $94.48/Hourly

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for all patients.
• Collect and document all data pertinent to each patient’s needs within 24 hours of admission.
• Formulate the patient plan of care based on age-specific needs and acceptable standards of practice.
• Communicate the patient plan of care through shift reports and established procedures.
• Implement and document teaching plans in the patient record.
• Organize patient care and set priorities based on acuity.
• Administer medications safely and document according to established procedures.
• Participate in mandatory in-service training sessions and meetings.
• Maintain an environment committed to high standards of patient care.
• Recognize acute problems and intervene safely according to hospital procedures.

Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: 1 year of prior related medical/surgical experience preferred.

Licenses &

Certifications:

Current RN License in Massachusetts required. BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire. ACLS preferred.
