RN Novice Nurse Program

The RN Novice Nurse Program at Martha's Vineyard Hospital is designed for new graduate nurses seeking to gain acute care experience. This program offers support and training through a structured orientation process with dedicated professionals.

• Pay: $39.18 - $94.48/Hourly

• Provide nursing services in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines.
• Work one-on-one with a preceptor following a Tiered Skills Acquisition Model.
• Participate in a 14-week program with day/night rotation and classroom training.
• Care for patients across various age groups, including pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Demonstrate ability to care for surgical and medical patients.
• Ensure a safe environment for short-term psychiatric patients.
• Utilize medications safely specific to the acute care patient population.
• Identify personal learning needs and seek opportunities for self-growth.
• Complete annual nursing competencies and attend mandatory training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

• No prior experience required.

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in Massachusetts required.
• Current BLS certification required.
