, Inc. is a Family of Brands that helps people connect through thoughtful gifts and gourmet products. This Staff Accountant opportunity supports our Gourmet Foods & Gift Baskets brands, including Design Pac, , Simply Chocolate, and The Popcorn Factory.
The Staff Accountant will play a key role in managing accounts receivable activities while supporting month-end and quarter-end close processes. This role partners closely with the Accounting Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, timely cash application, and compliance with accounting standards.
What You’ll Do- Own and manage Accounts Receivable processes, including billing, cash application, credit memos, and account monitoring
- Support collections efforts and resolve payment discrepancies and customer disputes
- Perform credit card sales reconciliations and validate AR balances
- Prepare journal entries and support monthly and quarterly close activities
- Complete balance sheet account reconciliations and schedule analysis
- Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies
- Assist with process improvements, system enhancements, and ad hoc reporting
- Collaborate with accounting and finance partners on cross-functional initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on Accounts Receivable
- Strong understanding of GAAP, AR processes, and internal controls
- Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (multiple systems a plus)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment
The expected salary range for this position is $65,000 - $70,000 per year. The actual compensation will be determined by experience and other factors permitted by law.
