Senior Accountant

Our client is a well-established semi-custom home builder that has been in business for over 50 years, earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship, long-term relationships, and beautifully built homes. With a strong backlog and continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team and play a key role in the company's financial operations.

Position Overview

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions while supporting financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage job cost accounting and work closely with construction and operations teams
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Support year-end close and coordination with external CPAs and auditors
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies within accounting operations

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within homebuilding, construction, or real estate
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Strong understanding of construction accounting and job costing
• Experience with accounting software used in homebuilding environments
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work cross-functionally
