Accounting Clerk

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Oak Brook, Illinois. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to contribute to essential accounting operations, ensuring accurate and efficient financial processes. The ideal candidate will excel in managing accounts payable and receivable while utilizing their expertise in data entry and financial systems.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.

- Handle accounts receivable tasks, including tracking incoming payments and resolving discrepancies.

- Perform precise data entry to maintain accurate financial records and documentation.

- Review and process invoices efficiently, adhering to company policies and procedures.

- Utilize Yardi and Quick Books to manage accounting data and streamline operations.

- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets, applying advanced formulas for financial analysis.

- Collaborate with the team to address and resolve accounting issues as they arise.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company standards in all accounting activities.

The salary range for this position is $24 to $26 per hour. Benefits available to contract/contract professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Hired contract/contract professionals are also eligible to enroll in our company 401(k) plan.

Requirements

- At least 1 year of experience in accounting or a related field.

- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong skills in data entry and attention to detail.

- Experience with invoice processing and financial documentation.

- Familiarity with Yardi and Quick Books accounting software.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas and spreadsheet management.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Strong organizational and communication skills to support accurate financial reporting.
