A premier, globally recognized luxury travel organization is seeking a high-performing Senior Accountant to join its U.S. Accounting & Finance team. This Senior Accountant role is open due to an internal promotion, highlighting the company’s strong track record of developing and advancing top talent. This Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and join a collaborative team of 12 accounting professionals.
The position is approximately 80% accounting and 20% analysis, offering strong operational exposure along with strategic visibility.

• Manage revenue recognition, cost of sales, accruals, and commission accounting
• Serve as an integral contributor to the monthly margin report and present findings to VP-level leadership
• Prepare and record journal entries during month-end and quarter-end close
• Ensure close cycle is completed accurately and within deadlines
• Perform variance analysis and distribute monthly departmental financials
• Assist in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting process
• Review and/or prepare audit and tax schedules and serve as liaison with external representatives
• Review monthly account reconciliations and ensure reconciling items are cleared timely
• Support financial system implementations and identify process improvements
• Assist with general ledger setup and maintenance
• Lead ad hoc analytical projects assigned by the Controller
• Potential oversight of two Junior Accountants
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
• CPA or MBA required (CPA preferred)
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Experience with accounting systems/ERP platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
