LaSalle Network is partnering with a growing organization in Oak Brook, IL to hire a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This Senior Accounts Payable Specialist role offers the opportunity to join a collaborative finance team, support critical accounting operations and make an immediate impact in a high-volume AP environment. As a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing full-cycle accounts payable functions, supporting month-end close activities and ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments.

The ideal Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is detail-oriented, organized and experienced working in fast-paced accounting environments.

What's the job?

• Review, verify and process high-volume vendor invoices utilizing 3-way matching (PO, receipt and invoice)
• Manage vendor setup and maintenance while resolving payment and account discrepancies
• Prepare and process ACH, check and wire payments
• Perform vendor statement reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations
• Support month-end close through AP accruals, aging reports and journal entries
• Generate AP reporting and assist with ad hoc financial analysis
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain organized and audit-ready AP documentation and records

What's needed?

• 3-5+ years of full-cycle Accounts Payable experience
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
• Experience working within ERP or AP systems (IQMS experience is a plus)
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and data accuracy
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Associate's degree in Accounting required;
  Bachelor's degree preferred
